Moods of the Moon

What moods, oh moon, do you display tonight
for a sinister shadow passes over your face.
Does your crimson stare reveal an angry trace?
Eclipsed by earth, your lunar madness will not abate.

Are you so vexed by the sun and the earth?
Annoyed that their alignment has blocked your view
of stars and space, for to gaze upon the universe
magnificent is your desire, your passion true.

Your lines are so exciting and your words are each having that second hand of drawing me back to them again and again and again irrespective of how many times I have gone through them.
