Monsters In My Bedroom

under the bed
and in the closet 
they gnash their teeth

sharpening their fangs
so they can chew my flesh as I sleep
i stay awake as long as I can shivering in fear

finally drifting off the dreamland
as i begin to close my eyes
the closet door starts to open

And of course it is barely morning. So it's not terrible, but it is annoying tonight.
