Monotetra Poetry - Out On the Lake
out on the lake, a moonlit night.
bats' swoop, drink, skip, to my delight!
missed sleeping ducks put them to flight!
we duck in fright, we duck in fright!
we, so sure they had not seen us,
really had no need to fuss!
they definitely quacked a cuss!
oh! did we blush, oh! did we blush!
camera sensor caught them, great!
not the ducks they flew much too late.
bats in flight drinking beat that mate!
a moonlit fate, a moonlit fate.
time moved on the bats' had all gone.
a nightingale broke into song.
dawn broke a roe deer came along.
church bell, ding dong, church bell, ding dong
we called time the sun was shining,
our tummies were breakfast pining
church clock, eight o'clock was chiming
chorus jamming, chorus jamming!
