Monkeys In the Mirror

Monkeys stare through cages at the zoo
Picking teeth, scratching each other too
But who are we to cast aspersions
We each have our primate reversions
Reflecting us, monkeys see – monkeys do

This is a cool poem Carolyn. We could equate the mind's illusionary persona of self to the monkey see, monkey do syndrome.Smile! Thanks for your support of my poem "The Void" as I need all the help I can get to expose the illusion. I appreciate you more than your mind can possible know, my friend. Agape, Moses

Yes, Carolyn this is so!!! Sometimes i wonder what monkeys would say if they could speak! But there was that experiment in the US with a female gorilla who learned the sign language and tought her baby! Well written and good luck in Linda-Marie's contest...Love, Gert
