Moments of Praise

Stars reflect His amazing, His grace, His praises,
Are forever on my lips, rising like the Son’s comforting,
Boiling over, in dreams enchanted, fantasies,
Colors both beautiful and realistic, truths in silence,
Reflecting the joy – abundant and gentle as the dew,
Softly sliding down the sparkling leaf, silencing the darkness
With its own brand of beautiful peace – such peace!
Never to be described, peace in the soul who succeeds.

Firefly music spreads a chorus of yesterdays,
Into the fires of tomorrow, where we each one 
have the chance to pray for the day, the heart steady,
sure as the whispering tunes, songs played faithfully,
by His light, His grace, the miracle of a second chance,
the rising glow – still and calm, sigh of a song,
breathed out through the heart who knows His love…
His love moves on, on and on, through the soul’s veins,
Like a reason to change, to become more than I was,
More honest, more giving, more aware that He is living…

His song, like the rhythm of a prayer, a psalm,
Coloring the heart in a praise that seems to silence all hurt,
Wipe away every doubt, each fear – leaving only the inkling,
That says they were ever once real, once – how I feel … 

His song, feeding on the faith who is sincere and silent,
Still as the breath when prayer is blown toward the heavens,
Meant for those ears who will ever hear and offer encouragement,
A trembling whisper on the lips of those who surely remember…
His love is like the light poured out in music, in praise, in prayers,
Seeds of eternal, blowing in winds of grace – saving grace,
Fulfilling every heart, each need, even the loneliest thoughts,
Erasing the fears, the tears, the years of loss…

Dedicated to bringing warmth, hope, serenity to the soul,
Who hears the beauty in grief and aches to give relief,
The faithful plans of a soul who just believes, 
So that forever knows she is abiding throughout the needs,
Into the faded tomorrows, where we’ll see His reasons,
Where we’ll see the beautiful in the Word,
Where we go to listen, and to be heard…
Because, with Jesus, only the heart can understand,
Only the light finds its way to enter in,
So that we can see where it is that love eases…

Every worry, every pain, all the sorrow and dismay.
With Him, this Jesus who abides in my heart,
There is no reason to ever doubt – He is there,
He’ll make a way out of the darkness,
Into the peace, the promise, the praise,
Where there is only the remaining joy, the grace,
That comes from knowing the One who saves,
The One who makes a way through everything,
The One who takes away all the shadows,
Destroys the darkest ache with a light that abides,
Within, where we know what it is to see…

Through the darkness, through the doubt,
Through the fears, the tears and shame,
Through the reasons there are to hate,
Through the night that has its regrets,
Through the burdens that can be felt,
Through the battle – to the triumphant,
The King of Kings, the grace that brings…
Assurance that love has succeeded,
He’s won the victory, saving those who believe He is…
A King who has sacrificed everything,
So that you and I can know Him as our best friend!

Praise to the King who is the way to peace,
Praise to the friend who brings second chances…
To love without conditions, to love with the assurance,
That love is the light that shines its hope, 
Through the darkest night, through the worst fight,
Into the believer’s heart, where we can know…
With His love, we have what it takes to succeed,
Because His grace planted that seed…
That grows a heart who truly believes!
