Moment of Rest

you died a long time ago the girl I once knew will never exist to live again as seasons change and we draw to fall your memories no my memories of you just blow around the confides of my mind all the precious moments me and that girl shared just like the autumn leaves just soaring through my memories I try to catch each one and grip them with dear life, see those memories nourished the tree that gave me life for this reason alone I kept collecting those memories but like the leaves of autumn they’re all dead never able to give that tree life again the seasons continue to pass and winter suddenly draws the wind become cold and harsh like your final good byes that icy grim touch just froze that tree in time you carved that special day onto the body of that tree then buried yourself right in front of me leaving me behind but I never let go of those dead autumn leaves I just sat in front of the tree that u scar'd and left frozen in time I closed my eyes one last time and whispered Your name with one final goodbye
