Molding Young Minds

A dozen or so things I'd teach my guys, school children and grandchildren likewise. When they are young kids, I would make it plain they’re not to be blamed for a neighbor’s pain. Simple: no biting, no pulling hair, no hitting, no screaming, no pinching and no spitting. Keep your hands to yourself, unless asked, personal space should not be trespassed. Kind words offered in peaceful voices, sharing delight when someone rejoices. Go out of your way to help those in need; return disfavor with a friendly deed. Avoid nosing in another’s business; when you have done wrong, you promptly confess. The Golden Rule I would teach inch by inch over and over, their mischief to quench. February 10, 2023

I agree, and teaching them when they are young is the only way to really instill good manners... Very well written and expressed! My best wishes for the contest!

I welcome your comment, Kelly, especially before the judging. It amazes me how young people don't send thank you notes anymore; they know how to mail invitations.
