Modern Witch Hunt
They’ve all brought their picks, hoes, shovels and spades,
Ready to dig a new hole,
And dig everywhere, no thought for what’s right,
No thought for the truth they’ve been told,
About lies that were uttered, about not fitting in,
About her lie to make her belong,
To the idea of being part of what she believed,
Even though her belief was all wrong,
Still, wishing for more, which everyone owns,
They dig through all of his dirt,
Not caring about the trouble he had to endure,
Not caring for how much he hurt,
So they dig with no thought for the damage they do,
No thought for what’s healthy and right,
No thought for the feelings of all that’s involved,
The mobs on a witch hunt tonight.
