Model of Peace

Bend your eyes and ears around the sights and sounds of a world at peace. A squadron of oak trees on a hill, laughing and playing acorns with unsuspecting travelers below. A phalanx of bison, wind whipping tired eyes, conquer prairie after prairie, victory assured. Dozens of purple martins, dive bombing this way and that, enjoy a dinner flight. A herd of underwater manatees, precisely pinging echo-location, submarine in unison, towards their night grove. Sounds like moments when your own world was at peace Jimbo...or at least in your imagination...Isaiah describes such a world during the thousand year reign on earth...Exquisite write which also reminds me of John Lennon's 'Imagine'...

Absolutely brilliant. The metaphoric use of war symbols entwined in a poem about peace. Exceptional...going in my faves

I feel the peace and tranquility as described in each verse. Funny how so few words, when so artistically strung together, can still paint such a vivid picture. Even though each scene is full of movement and motion, "peace" is still accomplished. Nice job.
