Missing Persons

So...we can only dream of what could have been, if you and I were other than we are. It brings me to tears, it is sad and I don't understand it. So you love whom you wish me to be, but is not me? We have never held hands, never walked under the starry sky, never even went for coffee, never tried person to person, never held me in your arms, never shared a kiss, never seen the moonlight in your eyes. There's a lot of 'nevers' happening here, maybe it is over before it's even begun. Never seen you smile, never knew how the chemistry might affect us, never spoke on the phone, never crossed those lines. Always our feelings were true, but everything else has always been a dream. We have become hearts with missing persons.
