Missed Rendezvous Haikus

A Cruel Twist of Fate Silent rendezvous Destiny’s cruel twist of fate Lost chance forever Love’s Chance Whispered in the breeze Meeting place but I’m alone Love’s chance slips away Empty Bench Time slips through my hands Empty bench—where did you go? Heartache lingers on
*I wrote this poem on January 7, 2024, as part of a ’30 days of poetry’ January challenge. This was day 7 and the prompt was: Write a haiku about a missed rendezvous. I challenged myself further by writing three of them.
