Misery In Happiness
We talked today
for about five minutes.
I told you how life is—
without the drama in it.
Trying not to crack your voice,
you said you were happy...
for me, that is.
But it wasn’t the whole truth.
I heard what wasn’t said.
Silent tears slipped
from your eyes
as we said goodbye—
one last time.
