MIRROR OF CIVIL RIGHTS
Rage from the South that spread nationwide
It was the chant for Civil Rights
Names that come to mine are Dr. Martin Luther King, Jesse Jackson, Medgar Wiley Evers and many others
Freedom Riders in their ride for justice as well
This is the exploration back into Civil Rights Memories
The 1960’s was the march in distances for all races and the block of obstruction
Maneuver Brothers and Sisters as we have a mission at hand
Rise up and stir up the need for Civil Rights
Voting rights can’t be a plot to endanger
Togetherness apart won’t accept
It is for good reason to rebel
Good Trouble from Congressmen John Lewis eyes
Spreading the word out to the world in acknowledge
Voice of anguished reason through Dr. Martin Luther King
“We must breakdown the barriers that’s holding the nation hostage as we must make Freedom ring”
Washington, DC, the main focus and center point to carry out the Civil Rights task in voices being heard
Civil Rights must be strong as a solid Mountain
With Faith, Mountains get be moved into victory
Together we must all stand
Civil Rights the ultimate demand
Dr. King was our “Mission Control” and our Leader in keep fighting and don’t stop until victory has won
Dr. Kings efforts was to unite the nation
Civil Rights being reality
I am a product of CUNY MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE
I stand before you
The motto was, “Never be silent and speak out on injustice”
Civil Rights educated
Dr. Martin Luther King achieved in the Civil Rights movement, but in 2026, the powers that be want to abolish it out
Unconstitutional theory on the minds of Washington, DC
It’s not over until the final chapter of Civil Rights Solvency is completed
From the Mountains to the valleys below extending across the country from major cities after major cities to the fields of the nation, and keep the fire hot and holding steady in fierce in keeping Civil Rights alive for years to come
Dr. King’s dream cannot go in vain
Freedom through Civil Rights must take aim at precise and determination
That’s your motivation
Brothers and Sisters, we all have been called in continuing the Dr. King agenda
We must come together in unity in which was were created with the mission at hand
We will overcome no doubt, and our sunrise and sunset will be our walk on into journey on
Rise up.
