Mirror, mirror on the wall, Who is this woman I don’t recognize at all? Her laughter does not meet her eyes. She has seen her fair share of dark skies. The pain in her reflection is an unfamiliar sight. Her story she wishes she could rewrite. She needs to face her heartbreak, and move ahead. That chapter is closed…a new life lies ahead. 9/28/16 Mirror Mirror contest Sponsor- Craig Cornish

I have been that woman, but it took more than a break up and I know the moving ahead part is difficult when you really don't know who you are when on your own. I find your poem a hard hitting truth many should relate to. Good job, Brenda ... CayCay

Thank you CayCay. I am still trying to find myself now I am on my own. I miss married life, but I do enjoy doing whatever I want with no one to consult. I never wrote poetry until after the split.

Moving on after a break up can be so difficult - you portray this so well in your sad lines I especially love 'Her laughter does not meet her eyes.' I see this so often with friends who have faced the break down in a relationship: Excellent pen Brenda thanks for sharing:-) hugs Jan xx7
