Twin foes: aversion and desire Let’s watch them moment to moment These shallow urgings, ego sires Plunging heart in discontentment Know that we are not mind-body Twin foes: aversion and desire Void of cessation holds the key Free from karmic consequence dire Who are we, honestly enquire We are divine light eternal Twin foes: aversion and desire Low vibrations inimical Mindfulness blossoms awareness Delusion consigned to the pyre Illumined then is consciousness Twin foes: aversion and desire 03-August-2021
