Midnight Rain

MIDNIGHT RAIN sky-less night empty black filling space surrounding me concentric circles ripple the surface of miniature midnight oceans, asphalt-bedded, curb-held minute droplets bombard the streets gentle a rhythmic refrain accompanied by the faint droning on a distant roadway a motor caravan sliding redolence of damp hay embraces nostrils the calmness overwhelms a oneness standing omnipotent sheltered from the rain July 1978

Very uniquely written and very talented also I don't understand the ratings 1-7 but I put a 7 as my favorite as the top poem I like.

"miniature midnight oceans" what a description of puddles just great writing can't believe this is from 78 I just got out of high school, didn't start writing til 81, but not this calibre, Wow!

Always good to hear from you john, you never cease to lift my spirits. Yes in 78 I was 25, began writing at the age of ten, 1963.
