Midnight

Midnight dusk Fallen backdrops Moonlit pastures of God's creations Menacing accusations Losing preparation Blissful sedation Waning thoughts of the pain With nothing to gain Reeling complication By fields of slain lamb Looking so coy Nothing to enjoy Shattered memories of my first Nothing short of being cursed Jesus tells me to wait As i'm thinking its too late Patience is his vibe As my heart drives Looking down as I go With nothing to show But he makes my body glow He makes my rhymes flow Getting better as I go Down this desert road As the tadpoles float to the top My skin begins to drop As I gaze into her eyes I turn to my maker in the sky She told a lie She made me cry Left broken and alone God's path was shown As the seconds pass i'm growing Shes gone but He's still there I remember to cherish every moment For only God can condone it.
