Hahaha -excellent Haiku, John! Love the alliteration. I can attest to all that as I too have been struck with the malady of "middle-age spread." :) Pandita

Yes, I write haiku when I can. If you click on "forms" by my list of poetry pages, it will bring up my forms by alphabetical order and you can see my many haiku, senryu, tanka, etc. Let me check out some more of YOURs using that way of finding forms alphabetically!

Until you learn the correct way to eat, and then you can turn it around. I got smart a few years ago and started "liking" veggies a lot more than i used to! And eating organic too, I've lost 35 pounds without even changing my calorie count! Love your poem though. It's so very true.

Your wonderful alliteration adorns and softens the unfortunate sad truth about middle age spread, John, which does befall most of us.. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

A striking alliterated kimo, John. I've heard it said that women are attracted by mid-age spread:) In that case I'm missing something as it has avoided my advances:) Regards // paul

Indeed! That's the phrase I wanted to use as my last line: "happens to the best of us", but was too many syllables for a Kimo! Thanks for your comments, Kim. Regards, John.
