Actor and filmmaker, Michael Landon - his shows were addictions folks couldn’t abandon! As a javelin thrower, he could have gone far. Once injured, he changed paths and became a TV star. On “Bonanza” he played Little Joe. It was such a great family show. Among brothers three, the cutest was he. They were ranchers (if you didn’t know). All his life, he had struggles, but Michael persevered. Twenty-two times on TV guide’s cover, he appeared. On “Little House on the Prairie,” he was a loving dad just like in real life! His death from cancer made me feel sad.

I am glad to know you liked him. He was so amazing. Probably the one thing that surprised many of us is that he got divorced from his first wife and his next wife was younger.

Andrea, a lovely tribute to a wonderful actor. He was also blessed with good looks, which certainly helped him with his acting career. Amazing it is how many of us had the opportunity to enjoy his work. there were some strange plot predicaments in that he must have enjoyed working on.

yes, it helped him to have amazing looks. Did you hear about the movie he produced on the bio of John Curtis, Landon even appeared in the movie as the adult Olympia runner. It's called the Loneliest Runner. This kid was a bedwetter and he would run home really fast because his mom put his wet bedsheets to hang out his window, and he needed to get home fast before friends saw this. It's a fantastic movie Michael was involved with.

Well Andrea how great are the 'simple values?' Yet even thirty years ago western countries had Co-hesion through Christian Judeo roots.' Now Everything can be pushed; or attemoted to be? into a room with no door..' and we despair at What we see.' What great shows we had as kids!

Yes, I miss the shows with family values. I like modern shows too but it's sad how living together is seen as perfecting normal.

His shows brought great comfort, hope and joy to many. Wholesome entertainment -- no Twerking on city streets. What the hell are people thinking!

Did you never hear of the classic book series Little House on the Prairie? It was based on true pioneer life of Laura Ingalls. It would be wonderful if you could see the shows in which Michael played role of her young father. He was such an awesome guy

He was SO cute but his life story is incredible and how he almost was in the Olympics And all he went through. There is a movie about his youth. Can't recall it's name but wow it's good
