Mess of Tress In An Upside Down World

A girl and a boy walking in front, (In my college one day, I saw) she had such long shiny hair - smooth silken threads of black - he wore it cropped short; Wishing that girl's hair were mine, I turned green. I crossed them and cast a backward glance. No wonder my face turned beet red, (glad my eyes did not fall out) The one with the tresses was a moustached guy, and the one with the boy cut was the girl !!! 03/11/17 Nonet x 2 [Based on a true experience]

Hi Jo, love the poem. Has happened to me also. I actually thought he was my sister and i spoke before i saw. Luckily enough it turned into a laugh. It is amazing the amount of times this has happened to people. Mind you i did wonder who the guy was. A wonderful write that brings forth my own memory. Love it Jo. Your friend....Mike. This has to be a seven.

Yep, you can't always tell the hes from the shes from their hair. I've made a mistake or two in my lifetime. Great write, Jo! Congrats on your win! Blessings, Kim

Haha, Jo, being older unfortunately I had such experiences of my own! Once I saw a guy going up to a girl, ( as he thought it was for he could see only from the back and asked her to dance! When "she" turn around he found out that "she" was a guy with a mustache so the guy in disappointment exclaimed: "Sh..." Still laughing!
