Mermaids' Omen
There once were mermaids hailing from Crete
The Aegean Sea they'd rule so sweet
They'd enchant with their chant
Dull the rant when heard 'can't'
For them not a match was Hercules' fleet
The sea'd get wild and tumultuous
The men unruly rambunctious
With strength superhuman
Hercules 'gainst omen
Down went the men less than virtuous
