And all at once, summer collapsed into fall

                                                Quote by _ Oscar Wilde

Memory

It is 'late summer' and autumn is very close ~ maple trees are watching their leaves flutter away . . . in a great wave of 'gold'. Flowers fading ~ bees and wasps swarm dizzy, the wind whispers soft beauty to my soul and the sun still shines bright above. I watch neighborhood children jumping in the leaves, and the squirrels gather them to line nests and cardinals look for berries. 'Memory' drifts, 'remember' . . . is a thing I do often, of the park where I played as a child. Leaves danced with me swirling and whirling, Chinese 'lanterns' ~ turned bright orange in hedges I 'hope' my years left in life~ brings me such memories.
