Memories of This Year
The fireplace now all lit,
the warmth brings memories
of this year with you.
Holly now strung all down the rails,
But the moments I adore of
Christmas is time with you.
Others are rushing into
maddening crowds.
Breaking the checkbook and
spoiling the meaning of this holiday.
But for me it is the ray of hope,
that heavenly link in the rope
sent so long ago.
When first as a child I stare upon
you in your infant form beneath,
the tree in a wooden manger.
Low and behold, I did not know
how important that first sight
would become in my life.
But sitting here with you
In spiritual presence,
Is the best Christmas present
I could ever long for this year.
Having you near and communing
over all the joys and memories together.
Thank you for this Holiday Dear Lord Jesus.
My prayer is all people come to know the
True reason for this season.
Christ Jesus in You, With You, By You.
