Memories

Memories linger in the shadows Retracing footsteps of my past Trails I traversed now seem kinder Rough edges by the years recast Loved ones, friends, like crystal sparkle In the light of elder days defined The test of time deletes transgressions Leaving just the best behind How I love to sit among them Sample each one as I may Taste the nectar of a lifetime Wrapped in my world of yesterday

What a truly excellent poem. Beautifully worded. Really good rhythm and balance. Wonderful emotion, could feel it like I was sitting on a porch enjoying memories of times gone by. Great imagery. A super job. God Bless and thanks for the kind words about "Think First, Speak Later." Glad you liked it. God Bless, JB
