Memorial Day 5-27-2024

Memorial Day 5/27/2024 By: Miracle Man Today, Those who gave their all will be remembered, and also those who returned unlike they left. For all war’s, send many home dismembered, lives are systematically changed as if by theft. For the stench of death nostrils can’t soon forget, many suffer life after P.T.S.D. and are crestfallen. Even more are forced to finish life with regret, This year, my eyes tear up for all our nation’s fallen. My brother Master Sergeant Joe D. Wright served 23 years in the U.S. Army, He served 4 tours in Nam, was wounded, and highly decorated. God always brought him home but he was never the same.

Hey Tom, Your poem for Memorial Day is incredibly poignant and heartfelt. It's a powerful tribute to those who have sacrificed so much in service to their country, as well as a reminder of the lasting effects of war on the lives of veterans and their families. Your personal connection to your brother adds a deeply personal touch to the poem, making it even more moving. I served 9 years in the Army and both my brothers and dad served. - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Living among us and amidst family grave plots are the wounded and dead. We live a rich life because they have given the ultimate sacrifice. I know of relations who have served during wartime, some under Patton, but none that were lost (asked my Dad). Thanks to your brother and the multitudes who did not come home or came home with losses of their own, in body, mind, and lost friends. May we live a life that honors the fallen.
