Medicated
He took his pills out for a ride
In the chariot of the mind now set on fire
With an engine inside that was a Porsche
Ninety miles an hour is not enough
The country side is lovely this time of year
The lake is near enough to touch the sky
Old men are old enough to die
It was the sun and it was late
Later than the color red
It was something he forgot to take
When you ride with pills outside
What should you do with them… or should you
They walk along the shore when they arrive
He does not drink the water
It could be contaminated
So the pills remain inside the bottle
Perhaps in side a pocket he forgot
But for what, it might not matter
He can always take them later than tomorrow
The pills and bottle aren't going to decide
