Measuring With Metrics

Little is less than a lot And most is not a few I need a handle on this So I know what to do When measuring more Into my favorite recipe For a palmful is okay Measuring for me … Then come the metrics Confusing me more I cannot read labels In the grocery store I know about ounces Milligrams are strange And what is a liter I cannot exchange Guess I’ll stop cooking Lest I overdo the salt Eating at a restaurant Then, it’s their fault.

Ha! Enjoyed this one... I never measure much of anything cooking. Doesn't work so well for baking though...

I do a lot of cooking, but I'm not a baker. I can make cornbread with a Jiffy mix and that's about it for baking. I measure everything in cooking by a palmful. It works for me.

I'm going through the adjustment from being near-sighted to being far-sighted after cataract surgery. Getting new glasses to help me at the computer.

Yes I remember in college when they expected you to learn the metric system. Unless you apply it everyday you lose it. I feel your frustration Milton. Been there. Thanks for sharing...

There is always a bright side; I weighed precisely 10-stone for over 40-years, but I am stoned no more! Aloha!

My husband did not realize the exchange of feet for meters, jumping off a cliff much much farther than he thought (only time I saw fear on his face. This was in Curaçao.
