Frederic Parker Poet Sonnet

Meaningful

My heart offers you its roses of red
to welcome love's scent from the purest soul
as we cast our fate on petals that spread
we'll pluck the passion's bloom our heart's control
rise to my love, as the journey's begun
embrace the sweet fragrance of love's desire
unmoor your heart as you savor the sun
so I'll find love in eyes of blue sapphire
let me fall gently in their chosen sphere
where my rose may quench its thirst of longing
with delicate soft whispers to the ear
we'll share a paradise of belonging
till your heart's soil and plant my rose within
Welcome the fragrant red roses again
