Me Against Myself

Many people don't understand how it feels to not be free When on the outside I am me. While on the inside I'm lost with a strewed view with every emotion that runs through.
A fake smile on my face, tackling the world once more. Does anyone hear my screaming roar? With my mind racing out of control like the devils stolen my soul.
Will these demons ever stop attacking my mind? If I give it a little more time. It is hard living as two when you don't know what to do.
Wishing it would stop cause my head is spinning like a top.

With Jesus peace within our souls we can face the person in the mirror. His love will embrace us as he wipes away our tear. And calm will be restored to fight another day. Some call it the Bible, some call it the Way. So take care and have a nice day. :) I not usually so preachy, the subject kind of called for a little soulful kindness.

I think many a people are just like this. I have often times been in such a position, and I'd feel depressed because of the confusion I'd later feel. Truth filled write my friend, Cory.

Cory---this is a deceptive poem :-) It tricks you into thinking that it is an easy read with its precise, simple use of language (simple is often best, in my books), but there is nothing easy about the emotions you draw up. Lovely work. You exposed that inner core. I heard your roar...then asked for more. Keep those fingers moving on the keyboard when you can. High Five from Cyndi PS writing is like mind's glue, melds into one what once was two.
