My umbrella helps keep me totally dry As torrential May showers fall from up high Yet soon I see a rainbow and azure blue sky Showers provide moisture to water our plants How the seedlings grow, in the warm winds they dance Our gardens are bursting with colours so bright With pretty pansies smiling, oh what a delight Earth needs precious rain and I love the petrichor Rising from the soil it’s a scent I adore So I really appreciate May showers (but hope they don’t last for many hours!)
