May Day Basket

A tisket, tasket, a pretty May basket
Made to hang on a very special door
Filled with flowers from the field
For a neighbor that we all adore

A tradition when I was just a girl
Fun way to bring a bit of cheer
The glories of  the 1st of May
A childhood memory so dear...
