I say hello to crows all the time. One got to know me a few years back, was learning to say hello. He had cat meows down pat. I called him/her Wordy Crow. I know I saw it a year or two later, they all look the same, but three crows didn't fly away when I walked within a mere few feet of them. xomo

I've been the captive audience of many circling buzzards. Perhaps instead of crawling acting starved and needing water, I should follow Darwinism and go from homo erectus to homo sapiens. BUT at this time I'd rather just be a chimp or lemur. Just let me keep my opposable thumb. How would I twirl a spaghetti fork without one? Thanks always Pigeon Tart.

Oh I love the vultures too! Painted a bust of one once, titled Black Beauty, in which I emphasized the features suggesting the equine form. Yes amen for thumbs. I miss spaghetti. Wheat, pasta, one of the things I have given up for my brain. xomo

Aye, quite right, birds look best with a clear, blue sky background where their aerial performances astound! Aloha! Rico

I can't argue with that. Though, the raven dipping into the garbage bin on a busy downtown street not 3ft away from me as I biked by was just as thrilling, and again, I seemed to be the only bald ape to notice or care. Canucky hugs! xomo

I'm a pro at cycling while birding ;), I believe beauty needs an audience, and poets are some of the best observers ~ xomo! <3

Thank you Caren! What is such aeronautic mastery without an audience? Just a bird I suppose. ;), xomo

Hmm, interesting contest of the busy street/audience of one - maybe you were the only one watching the raven?
