Matters of the Heart

Maybe not what you wanted to see, not what you were expecting to feel, but certainly open, honest and real. Five years have passed us by, and time has been kind to me. Jesus lights my path, as humble as it may be. My soul is satisfied. The Father has numbered all our days, and patiently - I give, I take, I wait. Living each day to the fullness of love, living to the very last breath I take. I cannot bare the horrors of war, broken bodies, broken people, much too horrifying for me. God makes provisions for us all. I trust him. And you, my friend, cannot put old wine into new bottles. New bottles of time. What is real about that? You cannot start at the finish line.

A forgoten name I saw and then the memories. This piece could have been writen to me directly. I remember you were special to me here. How I forgot you I'll never know. I see you were here not long ago. I was burned out for a while but now I'm back. Your's John
