Mary Jane

There once was a lovable loser
A smoker and hard-drinking boozer
  Devil said, Try Mary Jane
She'll surely ease all your pain
Loser vowed ~ never to abuse her

I started to read this poem because I had a friend all through high school named. Mary Jane, with five brothers! Your poem would be great framed in a high school hallway. Certainly a "loser" if you do abuse her.

Actually, some of my earlier work is still framed in high schools around the Chicago area --- all those which have not remodeled their bathrooms in 50+ years. lol. :) gw

Interesting twist, Gershon. Losers never win, or so I am told!
