Hi James, What an excellent tribute for Mary Eliza Mahoney. It‘s so fitting for Black History month. I have been educated. I have never heard about here. What she did as the first African American nurse is the US, outstanding. She‘s a trailblazer for what she contributed to the nursing field. I was a nursing assistant in the past, I am proud to follow in the footsteps(a little) of the lady that opened the door for others like me. Thanks for bringing this remarkable woman to my attention-Alexis
