Married To the Cook

Darling I ask a simple question Desperate to know your suggestion I’m aware that you love me And that I am your sweet pea So, what on earth is this indigestion. © Harry J Horsman 2019

Having sunday lunch at your mother-in-law is not the same as having sunday lunch with the would be wife, before marriage always check her cooking out, brilliant limerick, loved it . . . : )

Ha ha, Harry, an excellent limerick. In the first year after I got married, I was so sick of my own cooking that I followed recipes, and tried really hard to improve! I really appreciate, Harry, your reading my first poem on Soup. Best wishes ~ Mala

Delightful! A clever, humorous write in 5 lines that end with a gentle jolt. Best wishes, Brian

Delightful, Harry, my husband usually eats what I make without complaint but sometimes I think he's afraid to eat it :)

Great question, but could it lead to starvation? Still chuckling Harry.

Harry, lol, your limerick is funny and so sweet too ! When I first got married I did not knew how to cook except one thing and my husband (RIP) asked my mom (RIP) to teach me something more than spaghetti sauce, I guess he was sick of it... of course in time I expanded my menus ~ peace and tranquility _Constance

Good one Harry…… The wife replied with some irate distaste - The problem is that you eat with such haste - I take time to prepare - Meals of the finest fare - Five minutes and it's all gone without trace…… Belle
