Marigold
Many intertwining crimson petals
Around a heart of pure gold
Rising all over the deep green grass
Into a bed of red earth they nestle
Gaily swinging honeyed halos
Of these tiny ballerinas in yellow
Looking like golden sun drops
Don’t wish to leave this marigold meadow
