Many Tried To Bring Her Down

Many attempted to copy her but she was an original.
She had learned to appreciate and empower herself at an early age
When she felt no one else did.
Maybe Jesus, but only on her good days.
Many tried to bring her down.

Some tried to hurt her feelings, hoping for a reaction she almost never gave.
She had been taught to not be a crier.

She lived in a world that was untouchable, unthinkable, and un-understood to others.
She took care of herself, nurturing herself in every avenue she thought she would ever need.
She sang her self-songs, and danced unique made-for-her-only dances,
Wowing the rest of us with her creativity, spontaneity, and grace.
