Man Overboard
Constantly trying to get something for oneself--
Sit down, you're rocking the boat.
Constantly trying to have the last word--
Sit down, you're rocking the boat.
Constantly judging yourself and others--
Sit down, you're rocking the boat.
Remember, you are never lost at sea.
Simply sit down in the boat
and allow the mothering waves
to embrace and guide you on your way.
When, at last, you hear the call,
"All ashore, who's going ashore,"
you may find that you have decided to stay in the boat.
Well, then you need to go back to the beginning, and read the poem again.
