Daddy tells me you always watch over me
from the shimmering moon, ……….yet it seems so far!
But my dear Mama, I'm going to pull down
that bright sliver crescent moon and bring you back,
just because I love you so much…oh so much.
Will we ever play together again, ma?
We will chase each other over the lush lawn,
Go to the swing that hangs on the sturdy oak,
Play hide and seek among flowering bushes.
All will be happiness, only you'd come down
And leave the wan moon alone to mind its own.
