Majestic Frontiers

I hold three magic rocks, in my hand
Rolling them over and over and over
Leaving this reality behind, far behind.

Unknown horizons beckon,
Logic defying adventures await.
With one final gaze
Toward my unknown destination,
On a quest to find my father.

Mom said he left before I was born.
He won’t be hard to find,
‘Cause she said I look just like him,
But I hold the key of returning.
The ball of yarn he should have used,
To find his way, back to us...

I can relate to this poem in many ways, I too have had this quest. You described it so well. The yarn reference is genius. If only he had taken it to follow the trail back home. Excellent work.

My father was absent most of my life.. My mother took on both roles... She is my hero, if it weren't for her I would probably be a career criminal... Instead, I became good with words, I became a selfless man, I became Asavvy1.....:JP]

I was so lucky to have had my father in my life full time. There have been seven years since he passed away and miss him immensely. Nice poem, Raul. Love, Iolanda
