Notes About The Poem

Mail Order Bride Part 2 - For Arthur Vaso - Bawdy Limerick

Ted purchased an Internet bride She arrived and stood at Ted’s side But imagine Ted’s shock – His new ‘bride’ had a cock Ted’s chagrin cannot be denied Ted discovered his ‘brides’ name was Bill Who’d grown breasts with the aid of a pill Ted was very annoyed Said their marriage was void The thought of sex now made him feel ill! Inspired by a comment Arthur made on my poem posted yesterday called Mail Order Brides 17th February 2017

SOO not politically correct this one, but very funny, if read in the right spirit (I know that you don't mean to make jokes about actual transgendered people. It's difficult to know these days where the line is between what is OK and what is not , and humor is sometimes the casualty.)

:-) I'm glad you could see the humourous side of the poem ... I wonder if this has ever hapened for real!:-) hugs Jan xx

I totally know that, Jan! Please don't think I was criticizing your humor! I went and read arthur's comment on your first poem :)

I would never deliberately mock transgender people Agnes as we had 2 students at our school and I know how tough life is for them.. the poem was written purely as a result of a comment Arthur made on my original poem:-) hugs jan xx

There has been news stories of late with tragic outcomes so it is refreshing to read your very witty piece so cleverly written. Arthur seems to add the 'extra' to your funny bone, I recall a hilarious 'booby' poem you wrote that also had great photos and humour such as these! blessings, lynn amazing where your muse takes you when hubby is away!!!...lol

An enjoyable sequel to pt1, Jan. Can't blame Ted for being annoyed, but he was silly, wasn't he!! Perhaps Ted could have solved the problem by having a sex change! Hugs // paul
