Notes About The Poem

Magnification

Close up you can see the colossal amounts of energy
it took to grow this plant from a seed
An even closer look through the microscope,
inside lies the complete genetic information
Images of texture I can almost feel
Spikes that pop up prickly come alive
I have no limits to magnification
I can see vibrant stars dead center
Elements of sunshine tan and green
Sediments of gill filaments in V-shapes
Arrows in grooves with silver linings
Natures details to resemble filigree
Mucus glowing its sickle-shaped petal lobes
Milky sap growing within, aligning
milk vines and perfect pinwheels
Nature’s own flower arrangements
Under a microscope

Whoa you’ve done an exquisite job on this magnification prompt dear anaya, i was looking at it but wasnt sure what exactly she wants, or is looking for. Ive however written previously for an anthology on similar prompt. I really love your detailed descriptive diction and the way this flows in such a creativ manner: I believe this should do very well in the contest. Pleasure reading you always. Sending your light

Ink, it's plant or mineral magnified. One or the other makes for an interesting challenge! Thank you for your kind words. xhugs I appreciate the light you send me! ')

A botanist with a quill for a side-kick, exceptional penning, Anaya. I could be wrong, mayhaps an astrologist or farmer-in-the-dell, if anything, a winner in my book, my friend. Aloha on this not too far from Pearl Harbor Dec 7th day, William

It's sorta inescapable here but it does trend a memorial-like atmosphere, no gloomy faces just souls remembering. Aloha

I wish I could be all! Thank you, William! I read that 82 years ago, 2,403 service members and civilians were killed unprovoked. Thank you for reminding us, Aloha Anaya

Oh my, dear Anaya, this took me on a whole vibrant adventure as if I'm in a fairyworld and getting the chance to become miniature whilst looking at these unique wonders of nature.. Your descriptions are so amazing and they create a picturesque view in my mind.. Beautifully conveying the genesis of the magical flower.. Wow.. This is truly profound and breathtaking! Brilliantly crafted... :)
