Magic In My Garden
Small figures in my garden sat nearby
my bushes of red roses, and one night
when solstice moon bloomed golden in the sky
I viewed from my front window such a sight!
Like magic, my cute figurines became
alive, and I could hear each word they said!
They planned a party, and their first big game
was ring-around-my bunch of rosies red.
The gnomes cooked up some treats! I don’t know how.
The pixies threw some dust on my small tree.
Before my eyes I saw it growing. Wow!
They somehow knew I wanted walnuts badly!
The gnomes in their bright hats said they’d be glad
to oversee its productivity,
but said more flowers needed to be had.
so fairies sprinkled dust nearby my tree.
Then many types of flowers sprang from ground.
The little folks said all the empty spaces
would thrive in sunshine. Then they danced around
till dawn's light when they froze, grins on their faces!
