Magic Glistening

On New Year's eve the snow whirled down
covering blooms and greenery all over town

Came morning's light, I sensed my dread
of taking the shovel out of the shed

Yet unrolling the blinds, magic was glistening
  sparkling crystal snowflakes signaling

Me to leap and dance among soft flakes
in downy white on frozen lakes

You must like shoveling a lot more than I do "Me to leap and dance among soft flakes" I am not leaping or dancing. I am stomping, scraping and swearing.
