'magic Carpets Are Real'
I went for a walk and there,
at the side of the road was a carpet;
looking old, unique and interesting,
I picked it up and carried it home.
I laid it out on the floor,
it was worn, tattered and forlorn;
yet, it held a certain beauty to me,
so I spent several hours cleaning it.
My Pearl Kitty sauntered into the room,
and seeing the carpet stretched herself out;
so I came to lay beside her kissing a soft head,
and caressing her fur until we fell asleep.
Over crystal clear lakes we flew,
into lush green valleys and forest we drifted;
settling beside a cool rippling stream,
the carpet had taken us to a Nirvana land.
Just me and my special "loved one" Pearl Kitty,
thank goodness, we never fell off, I whispered;
we explored and played for hours it seemed,
then lay on our magic carpet and flew away home.
