Lyrics and Music

Fingers intertwined in wondrous oneness together foreverness breathtaking bliss Eye to eye in lyrical longing melodic memories soul symmetry Backs turned to bygone brokenness solitary sanctums heartbroken hibernation Face to face in aromatic anecdotes possibility potpourri enmeshed essences Voices join in rondos of rendezvous chorales of compatibility madrigals of mutuality Heart to heart in a fulcrum of fulfillment a seesaw of serendipities a trapeze of timelessness Lips engaged in passion's pendulum voluptuous vocabularies intoxicating innuendoes She is lyrics and I am music ~ harmonizing a hypnotizing love song ~ a dizzying duet of delight

Makes me think of that lovely song 'you are the words/I am the tune, you are the sun, I am the moon/play me' - also love 'wondrous oneness' and 'seesaw of serendipty' - you write in such lyrical harmony~

Nice Neil Diamond reference! I love that song, and can easily see it exerting a subliminal influence on this write. In a way, lyrics and music represent yin and yang to me, a concept that frequently makes its way into my writings. Thanks for the kind words. I especially appreciated "lyrical harmony".

You had me at the first stanza. A love song, I now know what a romance with a choir can be, all over again. I just bought a guitar and am eager to learn it all over again, I'd like to feel something, like you have. Warm regards, Anaya

Thank you for the lovely comment, Anaya. It may interest you that the muse for this poem is my choir director (and sweetheart)! Best wishes on your guitar journey and may your days be filled with dulcet sounds ~ John

Dear PoBro, where do I begin to exalt the soulful artistic wonders of your creative poetic finesse? I'll start at the top with the title; ingenious! It sets the tone for an exquisite lyrical love poem. Your alliteration is spectacular; just about every line! And the word pairings extraordinary; "wondrous oneness", "heartbroken hibernation", "possibility potpourri" (wow!), "seesaw of serendipities", but especially " voluptuous vocabularies" (double wow!) Your last three lines of exquisite expressive emotion make for a super grand finale! A sumptuous romance! Warmest wishes my friend.. your PS-PS
