Shane, your limerick captured that time in life when a night of fun, with the band rocking was all that mattered, well done, and thanks for your lovely comment on my poem, I write poems, pages and pages, yes it is a theme I return to often in my poetry, it is a pain I cannot let go, sadly . . .

Was a great night, good music and brilliant company, the band played INXS/Niel Diamond/ and a lot of Aussie heavy rock. I thought I was 17 again, Jumping up and down and sing very loudly. Oh the sweet joy's of youth!! love Shane

did you just have a reunion? I never was too close with many of the high school kids. I just enjoyed going back to mine and the guys not knowing who I was and actually talking to me after all those years!! Sounds like you enjoyed Lynette!!

Not a school reunion although i am still in touch with some few people from both primary and high school. there was a group of about ten of us that used to hang out together when we were all in our late teens and early 20's. We all are in touch again, bar one lass that I cannot find, The unfortunate part is we are spread all over this big country so when we do get to see each other it is fabulous. I had not seen Lynette for thirty odd years and it was her birthday on Sunday, So i wrote the poem as a gift for her. love Shane xxx

I imagine you would do just that. Weaving some of your enchantments over us all! And believe me I could not think of anything that would make me happier than to have you join me in party mode one evening. It is so sad that your beautiful homeland is so far away from mine. Still it is something to hope for. love Shane xxx
