Notes About The Poem

Luscious Peaches

Baskets of peaches
Ripe, juicy, luscious and warm
Tangerine sun goes
Summer left these gifts behind
Like blooms of my memory

Flamingos soon dance
Along the edges of dusk
Beautiful endings
Preserves and pies are waiting
A scarecrow waves in the field

I love this one, Evelyn. Loved the pic, too. There is nothing more tasty than desserts made with fresh peaches. Makes me want to go down to Georgia!

I am gratified by your lovely comments, Milton. Peaches are just about my favorite fruit-so versatile, too. I hope your week is a good one, Evelyn :)
