Is it wrong to think of Christ as ludicrous? Did he laugh at jokes, and smile, and sing hearty songs and need to brush his teeth? Was he not made like us, save for sin? It is after Easter, and though I have nothing yet, he has caught and cooked some fish, and that without a net. And I am laughing with him.

"Humming parodies of parables," are we? Love the images connected with water, streams, blood, and drains, and Sea (or estuaries, as the largest body of water) in this tantalizing poem. ThanX for sharing your gifts Dr. Wells. anil sook deo

Bob, I imagine U won Jesus' heart. We theologians study & teach: Jesus was so fully man, He seemed not God. He was so fully God, He seemed no to be human." The mystery of Incarnation & Trinity gets to the heart by fellowship (Koinonia). Might I even suggest when Jesus passed gas, Disciples said "Bless us again, LORD." amen & shalom. Deo

Hah! Anil Thanks for your comment. I am tickled by the thought of Jesus passing gas, which us not something that had crossed my mind before, though God knows no one can compete with me. The thought is much in line with my poem. It is rather that Jesus won my heart some 46 years ago now, but I do indeed know that He is perfectly at home there. Gas and all the other rubbish inside does not seem to deter His love, and though I might think it should, I know for sure it won't. I trust you have that peace too. Blessings Bob (I think your other comment may be misposted?)
